JEWELLERY CARE AND WARRANTY
GENERAL ADVICE ON JEWELLERY CARE AND MAINTENANCE
We do not recommend you wear jewellery when you sleep, swim or practice sports. We recommend you to avoid contact between jewellery and perfume or make-up.
We also recommend you store your piece of jewellery separately and in its original packaging to avoid damages or scratches.
Do not store jewellery next to radiators, window sills, or in direct sunlight.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS BY MATERIAL
PORCELAIN
For pieces from the White collection please use a soft brush to clean any dust.
For pieces from the Beneath collection clean with neutral detergent using a soft lint free cloth, preferably 100% cotton.
SILVER
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes with the exposure to air, the environment and to perspiration, as well as to certain perfumes and lotions.
To prevent tarnishing, keep silver in a cool, dry place, stored in acid-free tissue, or in a box or pouch. If your silver does become tarnished, it is easy to restore it by using a specialist silver polishing cloth, liquid polish or paste. Ensure all liquid is removed.
Alternatively, you may wash the jewellery in a neutral detergent with a soft lint-free cloth or a soft bristle brush for intricate detail. After washing, rinse and ensure the jewellery is thoroughly dry by patting dry with a fine soft cloth.
PLATING
Gold plating is not a permanent process. Since the jewellery is not entirely solid gold it will eventually tarnish and fade over time; but proper care will maximize its lifespan.
These practical care methods will help to keep the shine of your gold plated jewellery and minimize the chances of fading out.
Cleaning and Storage:
-
After each use, gently rub the surface of the plated jewellery with a very soft cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use a polishing cloth; this will strip away the plating.
-
If you need to clean your jewellery more use soak it in warm, soapy water for a few minutes and clean with a soft cloth.
-
Do not use jewellery cleaners or antibacterial soaps. These may have certain components causing your gold plated jewellery tarnish more quickly.
-
Store in a cool, dry place in a box or pouch. Different metals cause each other to tarnish, fade or change colours. Have different storage places for different colours of metals; such as gold and rose gold.
